 Laced in Legacy, a community-based foundation by Jillian Lanae Carew is dedicated to honoring the lives of Black folx. Born from the stories of a beloved brother lost to the streets of Chicago and a brilliant nephew navigating the prison system, the foundation is rooted in healing, resilience, and transformation.

We believe that every life is laced with potential — stitched together by the struggles of the past and the promise of the future. This is more than a foundation — it’s a movement to rewrite the narrative, reclaim our stories, and build a legacy of strength, freedom, and love.
